Government crackdowns and illegal apps

The new federal law removes a key distinction that previously allowed fantasy apps like Dream11 to operate. While past court rulings have upheld fantasy sports as “games of skill,” the Online Gaming Bill, 2025, no longer makes this distinction when money is involved, effectively banning all cash competitions.
