Another reason: An international currency proposal for BRICS countries
BRICS is the second main reason for Trump’s displeasure, including India. After applying the tariff, Trump directly targeted the BRICS and spoke of imposing an additional 10% tariff on its member states. BRICS is a set of emerging economies like Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. In the year 2024, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia and United Arab Emirates also joined.
